... I'm going in for the kill I'm doing it for a thrill Oh I'm hoping you'll understand And not let go of my hand ...
It was night. Of course it was look at the orb dangling in front of the dark clad day. The witching hour had played its course, wrapping itself around the planet as a constrictor around its prey. But what was this? This movement, this shadowed character weaving through the large trunks. The forest was clearly too dark to see the paws that were placed carefully among the littered forest floor. The she-cat brushed against a tree lightly, her scent lingering on the tree. It was Shadowclan's own scent, but also her individual one. After all each cat combined made up Shadowclan, and were yet left to be themselves. Shafts of moonlight tried to sift through the needled conifers. Some succeeded. The very lucky. The very few. The bright luminescent light struck the ground with intensity. The ghostly figured avoided these, she'd avoid the light before reaching the shore. Then and only then she'd be bathed in the fingers of the moon. Not a lot of Shadowclan cats were seen out by the shore. But she wasn't just another cat. Not a lot of cats were out this time of the night.
... I hang my hopes out on the line Will they be ready for you in time If you leave them out too long They'll be withered by the sun ...
At the edge of the forest she stopped. It was the next step that mattered the most. The one that would fully commit her to a night by the shore. She couldn't sleep anyways. Her nights were restless. They were not of any use to her, so why not spend them in some way that would get her perhaps one step closer to somewhere else then here. Extended a white clad appendage she stepped into the moonlight. Immediately a glow radiated from the she-cat. Her white pelt stuck out in the dark depths of the nights, her white pelt stuck out anywhere. In fact Wavecrest was a unique cat with her appearance. Her eyes were a bright yellow on the outside but on the inside they quickly changed to a blue. But here in the light of the moon, identifying this she-cat wasn't hard. Any Shadowclan cat would know who it was. Her paws touched the rocks, cold at first, but they soon warmed under her paws. Her eyes scanned the water, unsure of what she could possibly find out here.
... Full stops and exclamation marks My words stumble before I start How far can you send emotions? Can this bridge cross the ocean? ...

he is quite the demonic warrior. sparrowflight. the black tom no one likes to get close to. his name does not match his pelt color. sparrows are supposed to be brown. stupid father, naming him just because his mother adored sparrows. he sulked out of the camp side, in the middle of the night- the weary looks from the other cats betrayed their real feelings of him. that he was a traitor. a half-blood. going back to stinking riverclan. no, that was not on his mind. he'd much rather go kill himself than return to the clan of his father's. his father had betrayed him in the worst way possible- making him believe that jagercloud was his real mother. stupid yewclaw. he got what he deserved anyways. death.
and he felt like it was an opportune time.
another scent jerked his thoughts. shadowclan. she-cat. a scent that he knew from somewhere. probably a passing by scent. he's not exactly the most social cat in the world. sparrowflight prefers to lurk in the shadows. the only feeling he had ever felt for another cat was detest, and hatred- not exactly the best things to talk about. he could image how any conversation would go. 'hey half-clan.' that's what they all called him. and he had to restrain himself from attacking and ripping their throat out. sparrowflight wasn't exactly the nicest cat in the world. but this she-cat, perhaps she was ready to get some fur riffled up. sparrowflight was in need of a good conversation. as in good conversation- he meant anger, insults, and most of all- sarcasm. this she-cat, he decided, was going to get something she wasn't going to forget for the rest of her life. he stepped out of the shadows with a smirk on his face, ready to snap some seething remark. but was stopped by her white pelt and beautiful yellow-blue eyes.
but then he realized she was a marauder.
his world stopped. so did his heart. he stumbled to compose himself, and he looked at her eyes with his green orbs.
[/color] “hello beautiful.” he purred, teasing her a little. his eyes softened, but his claws were still out stretched, just because a she-cat was beautiful didn't mean he was letting his guard down. sparrowflight smiled, charmingly before walking up closer to her. he winked. “what's a pretty she-cat like you, doing all alone in the middle of the night?”[/blockquote][/blockquote]

This tom, that was why she found herself alone. Actually that was a lie. Wavecrest hated being along more then most of the other things she found herself hating. She-cats had to be at the top of the list though. Afterall she couldn't see the use of she-cats even if she herself was one. Laughing to herself, Wavecrest let her paws push a small pebble around. The night wasn't something that most found comforting. In fact most found themselves afraid if anything. Ha. Her ears caught the soft sound of something heading her way. Her cranium pivoted on her neck, her orbs finding themselves locked onto an obsidian tom.
Hearing his words her maw parted and she let a soft laugh roll off her tongue. "Tom those words can get you killed." The words were purred lightly though venom was carefully laced without. She wasn't one to be messed with...and this tom just walked into a sticky situation. Hearing his next set of words she let herself dance around his movements, moving the opposite direction of him. Her orbs were locked onto his, her tail flicked playfully. Though what was really hidden behind this she-cat's display? Stopping in her tracks she heard his next set of words, setting off another spark of laughter. "Smooth words and a charming smile will get you nowhere tom. Maybe in Thunderclan, but that's not where we are is it now? Hmm?" Her words were thrown at him with amusement, and her eyes glittered with an undetermined emotion. Wavecrest found herself unsure of what to think, unsure of what to do. But she did know how to be herself...and that's what this tom would get.
In a quick movement she brushed past him, her tail flicking him lightly in the shoulder as she passed and turned to face him. "Being alone isn't a sin now is it? And stop with the beautiful, the name is Wavecrest. No need to tell me yours Sparrowflight, I've seen you around camp." Her eyes were playful as she dropped her gaze and looked out to the water.
